Disability Advice Bradford,
DaB and DeB have opportunities for disabled people, carers or those with an interest in this area of work to undertake voluntary work within the centre and to contribute to making it a good place to visit. We have a limited number of places for people to update or renew their skills in a friendly office. Getting involved is great preparation for anyone who is thinking of returning to work, wanting experience of working within an office environment or hoping to move into the charitable/third sector.
Full training will be given on all tasks undertaken by volunteers. DAB will reimburse agreed travel and meal expenses and volunteers will be supported by a dedicated member of staff.
If you are interested, please phone Michelle Perkins on 01274 594173 for details of how to apply.
We currently have opportunities available for people who feel that they would be able to assist us in one or more of the following areas:
We wish to increase our management committee team by appointing people who share an understanding and interest in the issues that affect disabled people. We are looking for people with direct personal experience of disability.
If you feel that you have relevant skills to offer as a committee member and director of the organisation and you can spare a minimum of 3 hours every 4 to 6 weeks to attend meetings, we would like to hear from you.
Please contact Ian Bateson on 01274 594173 for further details.
In the case of both volunteers and voluntary Management Committee members we are committed to welcoming people from the widest possible diversity of background, culture and experience. We particularly welcome applications from disabled people.
