Disability Advice Bradford is a registered charity offering information and advice to disabled people, their carers and families in the Bradford Metropolitan District. We have the following vacancy for a well-motivated and enthusiastic person who can contribute to the development of our service.
Signposting Officer
Salary: £19,126 pa pro rata
Hours: 14 per week
Working Pattern: Part time, fixed term contract to 31st March 2011
Location: 103 Dockfield Road, Shipley, Bradford, BD17 7AR
Closing Date: Friday 19th February 2010
We are looking for an experienced signposting/information worker to provide an information and ‘signposting’ service which will enable disabled people to learn about and access the wide range of activities, support and preventive services available to them. The postholder will signpost disabled people to services available to them and will maintain a comprehensive information database about support and activities available within the Bradford Metropolitan District.
Applicants will need NVQ3 or above in a relevant field or equivalent experience. They will also need experience of delivering advice work, either as a volunteer or a paid worker.

Information Officer - Carers' Holiday Scheme
Salary: £19,126 pa pro rata
Hours: 35 per week
Working Pattern: Full time, fixed term contract to 31st March 2011

We are looking for an experienced administrator to run and develop our Carers' Holiday Scheme. The Scheme enables carers to take holidays where circumstances would normally make this impossible. The postholder will respond effectively to holiday and leisure opportunities from carers and prepare grant applications from carers and their families.
Applicants will need NVQ3 or above in a relevant field or equivalent experience. They will also need experience of delivering advice work, either as a volunteer or a paid worker.

Part time Welfare Rights/Debt Advice Officer
Salary: £22,221 pa pro rata
Hours: 25 per week
Working Pattern: Part time, fixed term contract to 31st March 2011
Location: 103 Dockfield Road, Shipley, Bradford, BD17 7AR with outreach services (venue to be arranged, but within Bradford Metropolitan District).

We are looking for an experienced welfare rights/debt adviser to help provide a comprehensive and professional welfare benefits and debt advice to disabled people, their families and/or carers throughout the Bradford Metropolitan district. The postholder will specialise in benefits and debt advice for families with children with additional needs.
Applicants will be educated to A level/NVQ3 standard or equivalent level of work experience and be able to evidence having completed training in Welfare Rights and debt advice.
