Disability Advice Bradford,

DEB - Disability Equipment Bradford

Our aim is to empower disabled people and their carers by helping people remain in their own homes and to be as independent as possible.

Our specialist demonstration centre for disability equipment offers advice and an opportunity to try out equipment for yourself under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist or trained staff.

We are able to offer training on how to use equipment correctly and how to manage the practical aspects of everyday living with a disability. We have also introduced a new internet-based advice and assessment tool to enhance the provision of equipment.

No referral is necessary...
you can contact us direct.

For a one-to-one confidential assessment with our Occupational Therapist please telephone 01274 589162 for an appointment. If you just want to look round the centre, it is also best to telephone beforehand to ensure that the centre is available at the time you want to visit.

We hold themed and general open days at the centre throughout the year - details appear on the news section of this website.

All health professionals are welcome to use DeB's facilities to assess their own clients (booking required).

Local Equipment Suppliers

DeB does not supply or loan equipment, though we do sell a few small items relating to eating, drinking, reaching, dressing and personal care. We can provide details of local commercial suppliers and mail-order organisations. We offer these details for information, and on the understanding that we do not specifically endorse any of the companies listed.

If you prefer, and the equipment you require is available, our Occupational Therapist can order direct from Bradford Social Services.
