Disability Advice Bradford,
DaB was established in 1979 as a result of disabled people uniting to press for their rights and overcome discrimination. We aim to help disabled people in Bradford achieve a high quality of life and to help them to help themselves to take up the same opportunities that non-disabled people have open to them.
The DeB equipment demonstration centre was established in 2003 in partnership with the Occupational Therapy service. The aim of DeB is to allow disabled people to try out different types of equipment under supervision and to gain professional and impartial advice before deciding to purchase equipment to help them in their daily lives.
DaB is a registered charity - number 700084
We are open from 9.30am to 12.15pm and 12.45pm to 3.15pm Mondays to Friday. An answerphone service will record calls outside our opening hours.
We are based in a single storey building with level access to all areas. There are three disabled parking spaces available at the front of the building and four in the rear car park, with a lowered kerb outside the front door to facilitate level access for wheelchairs.
DaB is committed to the policy of equal treatment of all employees, volunteers and members of the public in connection with any of the services we offer. We are further committed to providing services and opportunities which are available to everyone and which do not discriminate on the grounds of disability, gender, race, religion, age or sexual orientation.
